Mugshot
Mugshot (Tenor: Maria Burri Ketchum, Lead: Katie Roman, Baritone: Robert Roman, Bass: Scott Fewell) is an award winning mixed quartet from the greater Portland area! The quartet originally formed in 2018 to compete at the “Annual All Northwest Barbershop Quartet Contest” (aka Balladto) held in Forest Grove, OR, where they went on to finish 3rd place overall.
In 2019, Mugshot then went on to compete at and win their Division, Novice and overall Evergreen District mixed quartet competitions. They were even fortunate enough to win Portland’s own “Great Figgy Pudding Caroling Contest” that year! Most recently, Mugshot placed 2nd in the Evergreen District Fall Quartet Competition and qualified for the International Quartet Competition in 2024 in Cleveland, OH.
Mugshot is more than just four people who enjoy barbershop harmony. They are family! They believe that the involvement of family is just as important as the four members of the quartet. Rehearsals often include a meal, sharing life’s victories and challenges, lots of laughter, and most importantly, love!

The group is composed of siblings Ted and Anna, and longtime best friends Shelly and Melanie. With over 131 years of combined barbershop harmony experience, Hot Notes is passionate about sharing their love of music with audiences of all ages.
