We are PDX Voices

PDX Voices believes the future of Barbershop singing is for everyone!

The Portland, OR Chapter and PDX Voices was conceived in Rob and Katie Roman’s living room in a planning session along with Mark Heathershaw and Noah Langenwalter. They sat for hours talking about Everyone In Harmony, and they saw no way that the concept couldn’t work if it was done with community, with friendship, and with love. PDX Voices has grown with those ideals as the foundation, and has cultivated a culture of openness, honesty, respect, trust, love and family.

Since the formation in early 2019, PDX Voices has been a featured guest on several shows, and has competed at the Division, District and International levels, including winning the Evergreen District’s Overall Mixed Chorus championship in both 2019 and 2022 and winning the District’s Chorus championship in 2023.
The events of 2020 served to deepen PDX Voices commitment to truly living the culture of respect, integrity, diversity, and harmony.

Our mission is to explore and expand the future of Barbershop by excelling in our craft, partnering with other communities and non-profits in the greater Portland area for shows and educational events, educating ourselves on how to overcome obstacles to inclusion in harmony, be a force for positive change, and be overall outstanding ambassadors of mixed barbershop singing.
